Bianca Stratford loves all things girly - designer clothes, makeup and hairstyles. She's boy obsessed and longs for her father to allow her to date. She's beautiful and popular, but quite vain.
Patrick Verona is a bad boy. He's a rebellious punk who participates in all restricted behaviours like smoking, drinking and violence. He's also a school delinquent, always in detention! There is another side to Patrick, his caring side, that is very loving and is dedicated to Kat Stratford.
Kat Stratford is herself 100% of the time. She never gives in to peer-pressure and she stands up for what she believes in. She is a firm supporter of social justice issues, especially feminism. Kat is quite alternative in her tastes, her favourite music being of the female indie rock persuasion. Next year she will be attending Sarah Lawrence College, eager to escape from her arch enemy Joey Donner.
